 Luoyang
National New & High Tech Industry Development Zone (hereinafter
referred to as the Development Zone) was approved by the State Council
as a high and new tech industry development zone of the state level.The
Development Zone has the economic administrative power of the provincial
level and enjoys a series of preferential policies offerred by Chinese
Government for tax exemption and reduction and financial payback.
The Development Zone is located in southwest of Luoyang city,
8km to the downtown area.It is close to the large Jianxi industrial
base and the knowledge intensive area. The total control area of
the Development Zone is 30 square km with Zhoushan hill in the north
and Luohe river in the south.In the first phase 5.6 square km completed
and it is composed of the high and new tech street, Zhongya commercial
area,Zhoushan electronics industrial park, the 1st phase and the
2nd phase of Sanshan technical industrial park. Up to now, a piece
of land of 3.2 square km has been developed with the supply facilities
of water and electricity, roads, communication facilities and land
development, as well as the complete multifunction service for commerce,
office, residence, tourism, culture and entertainment. A modern
new city district takes its shape.
Administrative division
Luoyang,across the middle reaches of Huanghe River in the western
part of HenanProvince,is a famous historical and cultural city with
a nearly 5,000 years history and is one of the seven ancient capitals
in Chinese history. Luoyang,with the jurisdiction over 1city,8 counties
and 6 districts,occupies an area of 15,208 square kilometers,among
that 544 square kilometers are urban districts. The population of
Luoyang is 5.95 million,of which 1.26 million are in downtown area
in the end of 1996.
Geography position
Railway:Two mainline railways, Longhai and Jiaozhi, acrosses here.
So Luoyang is a major station of the 2nd Euro-Asia Continental Bridge
(from Lianyungang toRotterdan), goods can be transported here directly
to countries in middle Asia, east Europe, west Europe and other
parts of the world. Highway:The highways in Luoyang are sound,with
state highway no.310 going from east to west and no.207 from north
to south accrossing here. Kaifeng-Zhengzhou-Luoyang express highway
and Luoyang-Sanmenxia express highway (constructing) make the transportation
to and from Luoyang much faster with convenience.
Aviation:Luoyang airport (15KM) has opened many routes
to such cities as Beijing,Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Chengdu,Shenyang,Dalian,
Hongkong. Zhengzhou Xinzheng airport (170KM)
